Moving Ahead Services has been a wonderful partner to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Their staff donated their time and services to pick up more than 5,000 pounds of canned goods from 19 different retail locations in Cuyahoga, Lake and Richland counties in just 2 days for the Food Bank. Providence House engaged Moving Ahead Services a few years ago to help out with our largest fundraiser of the year, Deck the House, held each December at FirstEnergy Stadium (home of the Cleveland Browns). A key feature of our event are the large (7-12ft), professionally decorated Christmas/Holiday trees that event attendees bid on and/or sponsor. Following the event, Moving Ahead Services delivers each tree to its respective winner or sponsor. They are a key partner and have been generous enough to donate their services several years in a row, allowing Providence House to keep costs down and ensure the money raised the evening of the event goes toward critical services and programs designed to protect children at risk of abuse and neglect, empower families in crisis, and build stronger communities for every child. Their professionalism, customer service, timeliness, attention to detail, and strong commitment to supporting their community are unparalleled, and we are so fortunate to work with them on an annual basis; I would recommend them to anyone looking for moving services (personal or professional).

Moving Ahead generously volunteers their time and services with the Providence house and our volunteer had prior experience with them there. As a non-profit organization it is difficult to find companies in the local community that are willing to do almost anything for you. Transporting our items to and from our Race for the Cure events is a lot of work and the fact that Jeff and his team are generously donating a moving truck AND professional movers means so much to us. Having professional movers to assist us with our Race load in and load out will make all the difference in the world to our small staff and group of volunteers. Moving ahead is helping us cut costs and ultimately give more back to the Northeast Ohio community. Our experience with Moving Ahead Services was outstanding. We have only positive comments about the people who make up the company. We first spoke with Adam who explained the process to us and set up a convenient time to meet with us. Although we met with some big moving companies, we decided to go with Moving Ahead because of the good price and the way our belongings would be transported. Andrew took over after we signed the contract and he kept us informed during the time leading up to the move. On the day of our move we met Jim, who was responsible for transporting our belongings and our car from Ohio to Colorado. Jim and his team did an excellent job packing the truck. Three days later Jim arrived at the promised time. We had 4 drop off locations for our items and Jim made sure that every item made it to the proper location. Our items arrived in perfect condition, with no breakage. We will be forever grateful to the entire team at Moving Ahead Services for helping us realized our dream of retiring in Colorado. This is the best moving company ever! Why, you ask? Well, from the beginning to the end of my moving process, the service was top notch! When I first booked the movers, a representative came out to assess our move to make sure they send the correct number of movers and the perfect sized truck. On moving day, the movers showed up 15 minutes EARLY, which was a great surprise because we were ready to get our move over and done with! Four strapping young guys showed up, and they were incredibly professional, dressed in uniform, and they surveyed the house to come up with a good game plan for the move. Once they came up with the order in which they were going to load up each room in the house, they did not stop working...all day! These guys were so hardworking, I told them to take a break and ordered them pizza, which they were very appreciative for it. As far as them being careful with my things, they wrapped every fragile item with blankets and tape that the company provided, and they utilized dollies to move the heavier items. I was also thoroughly impressed with how they knew how to navigate around corners and move things in and out of tight spaces-- one guy directed the others so as to assure safe removal of our items. They disassembled beds, and wrapped our mattresses in plastic covers to ensure they would not get dirty in the move. Then, when it was time to unload the truck into our new place, they put everything in the correct spot according to our directions, and reset up our beds! After the move was done, I was so satisfied with our movers, I immediately emailed the manager to let him know how great our move was--it is very rare that I feel compelled to do something like that, but these guys worked so hard and deserved a great review. We WILL be using Moving Ahead again, no question about it.
