UWLC Feed Lake County Campaign

Feed Lake County with Moving Ahead Services

From Now until April 16th, Moving Ahead Services is hosting a food drive in partnership with United Way of Lake County and their Feed Lake County campaign.  In 2015 Lifeline 211 received about 9,000 calls for food assistance in the area – up 78% from 2011. Feed Lake County provided over 200,000 meals to children, families and seniors in 2015.

Feed Lake CountyFeed Lake County $1 Donation Equals 4 Meals

For a struggling family, child or senior in our area, just $1 provides 4 meals.   Roughly 1 of every 10 Lake County residents is living in poverty. 1 in 8 of those being children, and 1 in 5 are seniors. The need is more prevalent than ever before.

The food and monetary donations raised during the UWLC Annual Feed Lake County provide for more than 50 pantries and agencies in Lake County.

Along with our Move for Hunger partnership, this campaign is a great way for our employees, customers, family and friends to get involved and help those in need – Right here in our back yard.  The process is simple!  Drop off any donations, call us for pick up assistance or simply pack the items for pick up on your moving day.   We will handle the rest!
