UWLC Donation Totals for October

United Way Feed Lake County drive may not officially kick off until March, but donations are welcome all year through! This week along with Quaker Steak and Lube, we donated a combined total of food for 790 meals! Our team and generous customer donations generated over 750 pounds of food alone. This is incredible, and we have no plans of slowing down!

As with many charitable efforts, a single individual is powerful – But a group of powerful individuals can change the world. For businesses large and small, putting your resources to work in your community can have a substantial impact! The United Way Feed Lake County program is the perfect example.

Prior to being affiliated with Move For Hunger, Moving Ahead Services would simply offer to donate any discarded items during a residential or business move. While well intended, these initiatives can often fall through the cracks of our busy everyday lives.
Since becoming part of the Move for Hunger team, our affiliate network and efforts have grown exponentially! Getting the message out, cross promoting and motivating with the proper information and organization can make all of the difference in the world. Put your business to work for your community!

Making a Difference with help from Moving Ahead Services

In addition to our customer and our team efforts, we also provide a variety of organizations assistance during their donation drives. Working with businesses in Northeast Ohio and Columbus, Moving Ahead Services will donate time and materials to aid in transporting donations and/or packing items for distribution. Just give us a call and ask! We have helped multiple businesses this year, that otherwise didn’t have access to the resources or relationships to successfully host, collect and transport drive items.
