Finding the right moving company can be a challenge, but there are simple tasks to make it painless. The customer’s job is to make a detailed list, or be specific when speaking over the phone to relay all the items that are being moved including box counts or specific hard to handle items.
Online and phone estimates are great for a quick move and the move doesn’t include a lot of items. Online estimates are also great for someone who is on-the-go and doesn’t have a lot of time. They are easy to accomplish because an online or phone estimate can fit into anyone’s schedule. Keep in mind to be detailed about items that are being moved and have a great estimate of box counts or sizes to help keep things smooth.
In Home Estimates
The difference, in-home estimates more accurate. If you are on a budget it will almost be spot on. In-person communication is key when moving and handling customers belongs. If there is availability to schedule an in-home estimate to achieve a full estimated budget and an accurate inventory of all the items.
In-home estimates can be time consuming. That will depend on the amount of items or boxes that are needed to be inventoried. Make sure there is enough time to allocate to spending with the moving company to take the inventory to get an accurate list.
Either option for a moving estimate will always depend on what is best for the customer. These options provide the convenience and reassurance that the estimate is being done correctly. These options also provide that the items are being properly accounted for before the move and to provide a detailed estimate to ensure the move is on budget for the customer.
