Columbus, Living and Working in Columbus

Living and Working in Columbus

Our Columbus movers are big fans of the city they call home, but there is a lot more to it than just family roots!

Columbus is recorded as the 15th largest city in the US, and one of the most stable economies on the east coast as well as across the country.  As one of the very first cities to recover completely following the recession, it’s no wonder over 140,000 students enroll annually in Columbus universities and contribute to the vibrant, growing city and surrounding metropolitan areas.

Moving and Working

Despite unrivaled industry and educational growth, Columbus is still one of the most affordable places to live in the country!  This diverse job sector is in large part due to Columbus being an easy hub for major cities like NYC, Chicago and Charlotte.  From financial to fashion, science, logistics and everything in between – There is no shortage of jobs and opportunities for area residents.

Living

Start by making a list of your top priorities.  Do you need to be close to the beltway for a work commute or are you planning on selecting a neighborhood first based on schools, social or cultural features that you will then plan your work arrangements around. From the trendy and fun Brewery District to the more affluent areas – there is always something for everyone.

Navigating Neighborhoods

Moving to Columbus can be a little tricky to navigate.  What’s the difference between Hilliard and Arlington, where are the trendy districts or the best school systems – These questions are all commonly asked when our Columbus movers get the early phone calls to plan moves.  Luckily, there are a variety of resources out there so you don’t even have to take our word for it!
