5 Tips for Packing your Bathroom
Packing your bathroom doesn’t have to be a complicated task when you’re moving. It’s often one of the last rooms to consider when you’re preparing to relocate. With this in mind, we created a quick list of items to think about when packing your bathroom.
#1 Pack your must-have bag
The first step to packing your bathroom is to have each family member pack a must-have bag for themselves. This bag is essential for getting through the first and last days of your move. This must-have bag should include all of your day-to-day bathroom items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, body and shower soaps, make-up, deodorant, shaving accessories, and medicine.
#2 Separate fragile items
Be sure to put extra effort into protecting your delicate items. Be sure to double wrap your mirrors in packing paper! Also, separate things and containers that may be prone to breaking during the move. Proper packing will prevent wet boxes and other items fro becoming damaged or ruined.
#3 Pack liquids separately
The last thing you want to deal with in your new home is cleaning up a mess. You need to pack your liquids in a safe and leak-proof container! It’ll be in your best interest to avoid spills and leaks, and this can be completed by putting your half-empty bottles into zip-lock bags and making sure they are properly sealed.
#4 Don’t forget your medicine
It’ll be essential to pack your daily medication in your must-have pack. However, you may want to consider keeping other drugs close by during your move. You may want to consider including pain medicine and a first-aid kit close-by.
#5 – Label your boxes
Properly labeling your boxes will help you find your must-have bathroom items easily after your move. Generally, your bathroom and bedroom items will be the first boxes to un-pack. You should plan on writing the contents of each box on the outside, and include whether the items are fragile or not.
