Moving Ahead Services Acquires Two Ohio Relocation Companies
Moving Ahead Services proudly announces the recent acquisition of two additional Ohio-based relocation businesses. As of September 1st, 2017 Moving Ahead Services has acquired Northeast Ohio-based “Bright Eyed Moving” and Cincinnati-based “We Help Moving”.
“The decision to expand our footprint in Ohio was an easy one. The recent additions will allow us to better serve our customers in Northeast Ohio as well as in Cincinnati and Dayton”. Jeff Collins, President and CEO.
Prior to this, Moving Ahead Services locations included Willoughby and Columbus, with plans to expand to Pittsburgh in late 2017.
Acquisition Details and The New Locations
Cincinnati customers of We Help Moving will receive information regarding the acquisition, as well as an invitation to utilize our moving services. We Help Moving has been in business since 2004, and will now be operated as a Moving Ahead Services location. From training advancements to administrative staff growth, customers will enjoy all of the benefits of the acquisition along with an excellent service and support experience.
Northeast Ohio customers of Bright Eyed Moving will enjoy the same great service and support, with combined administrative efforts and access to all available resources that Moving Ahead Services’ customers have enjoyed for over a decade. Bright Eyed Moving will remain a separate entity as a ‘DBA’ of Moving Ahead Services. Started in 2015, Bright Eyed Moving provides an excellent relocation solution for any size move, locally and long distance.
About Moving Ahead Services
Moving Ahead Services was founded in 2004 by Jeff Collins, a veteran of the United States Marines and Northeast Ohio native. These acquisitions are the most recent in a series of growth initiatives to maximize opportunity and service for both customers and team members.
The Cincinnati acquisition will allow the Moving Ahead Services’ Columbus team to focus on local efforts, and award current Cincinnati customers and customers of We Help Moving the same great service and support. Expanding coverage in both Central and Northeast Ohio was the next logical step, having long operated at peak capacity during the majority of the year.
We invite you to schedule your next move with Moving Ahead Services in Cleveland, Columbus or Cincinnati -or- with Bright Eyed Moving in Northeast Ohio. We look forward to serving your relocation needs!

As with any service industry organization, a review about our business speaks volumes. This allows us to build trust and rapport with our customers, before we ever even have the pleasure of meeting them! In addition to using common review sites like Angie’s List, Yelp and Google – Shopper Approved provides us with a variety of tools to ensure our business is operating in tip top shape.
Along with allowing us to provide an easy way to ask customers for feedback, Shopper Approved also stores and rates our reviews over time. This is essential to showing current and future customers that we are committed to providing and excellent service and moving experience.

2016 Super Service Award Winners have been announced, and we are proud to have both Cleveland and Columbus receive the award!
The Super Service Awards are granted to businesses that maintain an A rating historically and in recent transactions, and that have met all safety and background check standards.
Moving Ahead Services joined Angie’s list in 2009 and 2010 for Columbus and Cleveland. Since joining, each year we have received the Super Service Award – A great display of our commitment to quality services and customer satisfaction.
The Evolution of Angie’s List and the 2016 Super Service Award
2016 saw over 1.6 million new members join as part of the free program initiative! Angie’s List has proven to be a more valuable tool than ever before. For our business, it has allowed our customers a great way to enjoy an easy communication process, see reviews and enjoy exclusive discounts. It has also held our team to the highest of quality standards in an industry that is notorious for stress!
The changes in Angie’s List program structures and membership base have proven to be beneficial. The 2016 Super Service Award is further proof that the structural integrity of the platform is alive and well.

Food drive totals were incredible! Our offices collected a total of 1,600 pounds of food for United Way. Despite all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we truly had the best support. Our customers, neighbors, family, friends and team all came through to donate! We couldn’t be more grateful, and are so proud to have such wonderful communities to call home. For our first official food drive, we’d say it was a great success!
In the first week, we collected about 580 pounds of food! Much of this was in large part to our generous customers, as part of the Move for Hunger program. As a Move for Hunger partner, our team reminds each of our customers that we collect food they would dispose of. Any non-perishable items from cupboards, pantries and the likes are loaded into a Move for Hunger box during move day. This has allowed us to collect and donate hundreds of pounds of food, most of which would have gone to waste! Moving is busy and often overwhelming, this allows an easy way to donate without the hassle!
The Final Stretch – Food Drive Wrap Up
In the final week of the food drive, we had community drop offs, our neighbors donated, customers continued to contribute and our teams and their families also donated. Every single donation counts! 1 can of food from 30 people certainly adds up. We had boxes upon boxes of canned goods, PB&J, formula and more. It was powerful to see it all in one place!
Our drop off at United Way was welcomed with applause and true appreciation. While hunger in Ohio is an ongoing issue throughout the year, the holidays can be especially taxing. Food pantries are tasked with feeding more people than ever, and children aren’t receiving school lunches – Adding to the long list of those in need.
A Little Friendly Competition
In the spirit of the season, we decided to make our Holiday food drive as motivating as possible! We challenged our teams in Cleveland and Columbus, as well as offering a top collection incentive and a lunch party. While the totals were close, our Cleveland office came out with the big WIN! Ron, a member of our team in Cleveland, was recognized for collecting over 300 pounds of food from customers!
